Senior Session Spotlight: Drea

Some mornings just have magic written all over them — and Drea’s senior photo session in Connecticut was definitely one of those days.

We started bright and early with pro makeup to get her glowing and photo-ready. Our plan? Head straight to the beach for a sunrise-inspired senior portrait session. But of course — the beach gates weren’t open yet. So what do you do when the beach isn’t quite ready for you? You pivot… and head to Starbucks. ☕✨

By 8am, we were back at one of my favorite Connecticut senior photo locations, and the tide was out just enough to reveal a beautiful rocky shoreline. It made the perfect natural backdrop to kick off the shoot.

Drea brought multiple outfits that each gave a different look and feel (which I always recommend for senior portraits — variety is everything). First we captured bold, editorial-style poses on the rocks. Then she changed, and we headed down to the soft sand for some playful, light-filled photos that felt like they came straight from a summer dream.

And then… she got in the water. Yes, full mermaid energy — and the results were absolutely worth it. 

We wrapped up our beach session and headed inland to a lush green area for a different vibe, and finally, ended in an open field with Drea in a soft white dress — a timeless look that brought everything together. Every senior session is unique, and Drea’s was full of personality, fun, and that confident energy I love to capture.
